Enjoy the journey and don't forget to subscribe. #Porsche911 #Porsche992 The 991 stands as the pinnacle of the Porsche 911's evolution, epitomizing the brand's core philosophy of continuous improvement and efficiency. This ethos is reflected in every aspect of the 992, starting with its sophisticated design. The car boasts a sleeker profile, surfaces that convey a sense of motion, and precisely defined details, making it appear more imposing than any of its predecessors. This impression is further enhanced by its expanded track and a wheelbase that has been lengthened by ten centimeters. Introduced to the public in late 2018, the Porsche 992, as the eighth generation of this iconic sports car, builds upon the legacy of its predecessors with modern technology, refined design, and improved performance. The exterior maintains the classic 911 silhouette, modernized with wider bodywork, pronounced wheel arches, and updated front and rear fascias. LED headlights and a distinctive rear light bar highlight its modern features. Inside, the 992 blends traditional Porsche elements with contemporary technology, including a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The interior is designed with a focus on driver-centric controls and premium materials, paying homage to 911s of the past while embracing the future. Performance-wise, the 992 launched with a range of turbocharged flat-six engines, offering impressive power and efficiency. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (PDK) provides fast and smooth gear shifts, with a manual option introduced for driving enthusiasts. Handling and driving dynamics are enhanced with features like the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and optional rear-wheel steering. The 992 also incorporates advanced technologies such as Wet Mode for safer driving in adverse conditions, Night Vision Assist, and comprehensive connectivity options. Safety features include advanced airbags, parking assistance, and optional adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The 992 range includes various models and body styles, from the base Carrera to high-performance Turbo S, catering to a wide range of preferences and performance levels. As the latest evolution in the 911 series, the Porsche 992 continues to be celebrated for its fusion of traditional sports car virtues with the latest in automotive technology and performance enhancements. ⚡️ Discover ALL new cars before anyone else! FIRST LOOK: McLaren P1 Drift Car – Mad Mike’s Rotary-Swapped ‘MadMac’!
This is the world’s most insane drift car. A mutated McLaren, it’s the brainchild of ‘Mad Mike’ Whiddett, with a little help from McLaren experts Lanzante and luxury car specialists O’Gara Coach. Now, a McLaren P1 drift car would have been silly enough, but ‘MadMac’ (as it’s affectionately known) fuses a P1 body with a 650S GT3 carbon chassis for the added protection of the latter’s roll cage. Oh, and then whatever McLaren V8 you were expecting has been ditched for a turbocharged, triple-rotor set-up. Peak power is close to four figures… Myriad other changes have been made to get it drift ready, so here’s ‘Mad Mike’ himself, plus Lanzante boss Dean Lanzante, together with Top Gear’s Ollie Kew, to give you the full lowdown… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR: First Looks: https://bit.ly/TGFirstLooks First Drives: https://bit.ly/TGFirstDrives American Tuned ft. FIRST DRIVE: Pagani Utopia – 864bhp V12 Hypercar Or Art?
Zonda. Huayra. A succinct but epic bloodline for the next Pagani hypercar to follow. And there’s much promise too, for the new Utopia: a twin-turbo, AMG-supplied V12 with 846bhp; a carbo-titanium monocoque; even the option of a manual gearbox… Only 99 will be built, each costing around £2.2m a pop. But is it a piece of automotive art, too delectable to be driven? EXCLUSIVE: GMA T.50 finally meets McLaren F1 | Henry Catchpole - The Driver's Seat
The McLaren F1 and the GMA T.50 together on the road for the very first time! Need we say more? Henry Catchpole drives Gordon Murray’s two, three-pedal, three-seat supercars back-to-back. Twin tests simply don’t get any better. Support the making of films like this! Join Hagerty Drivers Club today: https://bit.ly/Join-HDC-Henry Differences, similarities, the journey to building an icon and a successor - everything is discussed in this in-depth review of the McLaren F1 and GMA T.50. It begins with a comparison of the engines, as they really are the heart of each car - the star turns. Both are naturally aspirated V12s and both sound incredible, but they are also quite distinct in character. Can Cosworth’s smaller, less torquey engine really live up to the legendary S70/2 created by Paul Rosche at BMW M? There are 12,400 reasons why it might… We also look at the differences in design and how the luggage storage has changed from the F1 and why there is what looks like a big panel gap in the roof of the T.50. One of the big improvements that was inevitable but also required for the newer car was the fitment of better lights, so we thought we should drive the T.50 at night to prove they work. And it turns out the illumination is spectacular… at both ends of the car. Perhaps the biggest GMA T.50 surprise, however, comes with the way its spine-tingling engine combines with the chassis. The F1 is not perfect in this regard because it is quite softly suspended and the steering requires a certain amount of muscle. It sometimes doesn’t feel light, even though it is. The T.50 on the other hand feels as lithe and responsive as you would expect for something that has a dry weight of just 997kg. And even better, it can be grabbed by the scruff of the neck and driven hard. It is genuinely fun as well as impressive. McLaren F1, Gordon Murray Automotive T.50, Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F50, Porsche Carrera GT - which analogue supercar would you have? Let us know in the comments down below. We really hope you enjoy this epic film - if you do, then all we ask is that you give it a like, make sure you’re subscribed to the Hagerty YouTube channel, share it with your friends and perhaps check out some of the other films from the back catalogue. Find your perfect driving shoe here: https://piloti.com/collections/shop-all?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=Video&utm_campaign=Spring_Sale&utm_id=TH The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T ($290,000 USD starting, $325,900 CAD starting) is a lightweight high performance GT car that aims to be the purest form of road-going 911. It’s powered by a 518 horsepower naturally aspirated flat-six engine, and revs all the way to 9000 rpm. It’s also seen significant S/T specific changes, such as a single mass flywheel and lightweight clutch. But with an availability that’s almost too limited, and a feverishly high price tag, does the 911 S/T live up to its expectations? Thomas and James are excited to get behind the wheel and find out! We hope you enjoy the episode! And then subscribe, silly. Huge thank you to @MilesPerHr for allowing us time with his press loan! What a legend.
